LARQ PUREVIS™ & MOVEMENT PUREVISBOTTLE

How does the LARQ PureVis™ bottle work?

The LARQ PureVis™ bottle uses PureVis™ technology to clean your water and bottle at the touch of a button. The bottle intelligently turns itself on every 2 hours to clean the water inside the bottle as well as the inside of the bottle.

Will the LARQ PureVis™ Insulated Bottle keep water cold?

Yes, an insulated bottle will keep water cold for up to 24 hours.

Does the LARQ PureVis™ bottle have a warranty?

The LARQ PureVis™ bottle is covered by a two-year limited warranty on all bottles purchased from www.nestiom.eu and authorized retailers. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of any defective material or component. In the rare event that we are unable to repair or replace a defective material or component, we will issue a refund. The warranty does not cover problems caused by normal wear and tear, abuse, or loss/theft of the bottle.

Where can I find the manual?

You will find the manual in the box or you can download it here !

What is PureVis™ technology?

The UV-C wavelength emitted by the UV-C LED located in the cap of the LARQ PureVis™ bottle is optimized at 270-275 nanometers spectrum to eliminate up to 99%* of biocontaminants such as E. coli by breaking down their DNA before they have a chance to spread, improving your water quality. However, the LARQ PureVis™ bottle should be filled with water that is transparent to the eye and does not contain any physical sediment, as the UV-C LED will not remove such impurities from the water. The UV-C LED chip in the LARQ PureVis™ bottle is smaller, more energy efficient, non-toxic (mercury-free) and more economical compared to traditional mercury-based UV technology.

*Based on 99.8% E.coli elimination in a 20 second cycle for all LARQ bottles.

How do I charge the LARQ PureVis™ bottle battery?

The LARQ PureVis™ bottle can be charged via Micro-USB. The charging port is located on the side of the cap. The charging cable is included in the packaging of your LARQ PureVis™ bottle.

What is the difference between Normal and Adventure mode?

Normal mode provides 1 cleaning cycle of 1 minute and delivers 12 mJ/cm^2 UVC to the water and the inside surface of the bottle. Simply tap the button on top of the cap once to activate the cycle. Normal mode is the right choice for everyday use if your water comes from a reliable source.

In Adventure mode, the LARQ PureVis™ bottle delivers a higher dose of UVC: >30 mJ/cm^2. Activate this 3 minute cycle by double tapping the button on top of the cap. This mode of operation is a good choice if you are not sure about the quality of your water or if you just want to be extra sure.

How does self-cleaning work? How can I recognize it?

Self-cleaning will activate for ten seconds every two hours from the last cleaning cycle (indicated by a slowly pulsing blue light). It's a very quick cycle, so it's easy to miss it!

How often should I charge the battery of my LARQ PureVis™ tank? How will I know when the battery is low?

The battery lasts up to 1 month on a single charge and is conveniently charged via MicroUSB. This is based on an estimated usage of 3-4 cycles per day. With Normal Mode, the battery lasts up to 4 weeks of use, and with Adventure Mode, it lasts up to 10-12 days. When the battery is low, the cap will flash yellow before and after a cleaning cycle to remind you to charge it!

How do I turn Travel Mode on or off?

To turn on Travel Mode, press and hold the top of the cap for 5-10 seconds until you see a white light flash. To turn off Travel Mode and continue self-cleaning, press and hold the top of the cap for 5-10 seconds until the white light turns on and flashes.

What do the different LED colors on the cap mean?

Slowly pulsing green = Charging!

Green = I'm fully charged!

Lightly pulsating sky blue = Normal mode

Pulsating blue = Adventure mode

Pulsating orange = Safe mode (when activated outside the bottle or if the electronics are too hot)

Yellow = Low battery. Will flash twice before and after cleaning mode.

Red/Purple = Oh no! Something is wrong. Please contact us so our customer support team can get you back to drinking brilliantly clean water in no time!

Will the LARQ bottle keep water cold or hot?

The LARQ PureVis™ insulated bottle will keep water cold for up to 24 hours or hot for up to 12 hours.

The LARQ PureVis™ Non-Insulated Bottle is a lighter, single-walled bottle that will not keep beverages cold or hot, but can hold cold water and even be refrigerated. DO NOT put hot water in this bottle.

What is the difference between an insulated LARQ PureVis™ bottle and a non-insulated LARQ Movement PureVis™ bottle?

Both the insulated LARQ PureVis™ bottle and the non-insulated LARQ Movement PureVis™ bottle use the same cap and proprietary UV-C LED technology. The difference between them is in the design, capacity, weight and construction of the bottle.

The LARQ PureVis™ Insulated Bottle features double vacuum insulation that keeps your water hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours. It also features a two-tone protective coating and a design that won the prestigious Red Dot award.

The LARQ Movement PureVis™ Non-Insulated Bottle is a lighter bottle due to its single-wall construction—perfect for staying hydrated during backpacking adventures or commuting—and features a silicone sleeve that protects the bottle from bumps and scratches (for those who are a little clumsy).

Can I put ice in my LARQ PureVis™ bottle?

It is perfectly fine to use ice in conjunction with the LARQ PureVis™ bottle and will not damage it in any way. However, until it melts, it may affect effectiveness as it may prevent the UV-C LED light from reflecting and reaching certain areas of the bottle.

Can I put other drinks in it besides water?

The LARQ PureVis™ bottle is designed to be a self-cleaning water bottle. We do not recommend using it for other beverages. If you do decide to use your bottle to carry sugary drinks, tea or coffee, hand wash it with warm soapy water after each use.

Can I use my LARQ PureVis™ bottle in rural areas and when traveling?

Yes! PureVis™ technology will eliminate up to 99%* of biocontaminants such as E. coli from your water and bottle. It will not remove heavy metals or chemicals in the water. Depending on your region, the contaminants present in the water will vary, so we recommend taking extra precautions with any LARQ PureVis bottle depending on your water source to ensure the safety of your water. We recommend filling from a running stream with water that is clear to the eye and free of sediment.

*Based on 99.8% E.coli elimination in a 20 second cycle for all LARQ bottles.

Does the LARQ PureVis™ bottle remove heavy metals or fluoride?

No, because the LARQ PureVis™ bottle does not contain a filter, it does not remove physical impurities from the water. It uses PureVis™ technology to remove up to 99%* of bio-contaminants such as E. coli from your water and bottle. If you're looking for portable filtration that removes chlorine and heavy metals, check out LARQ Filter Bottles.

*Based on 99.8% E.coli elimination in a 20 second cycle for all LARQ bottles.

Is the LARQ PureVis™ bottle refrigerator/microwave/dishwasher safe?

The insulated LARQ PureVis™ bottle can be stored in the refrigerator, but please note that the double-walled vacuum insulation feature of this bottle will not allow the outside temperature to affect the contents inside. The non-insulated LARQ PureVis™ bottle can be stored in the refrigerator to keep the contents cool due to its single-wall stainless steel construction.

The LARQ PureVis™ bottle is dishwasher safe, but the PureVis™ cap is NOT dishwasher safe and should be washed by hand. Do not place LARQ bottles in the freezer or microwave.

Can I take my LARQ PureVis™ bottle on a plane?

Yes, you can take it with you on flights, but empty all liquid from the bottle. The insulated and non-insulated LARQ PureVis™ bottle should be kept with you or in your carry-on luggage. It should not be carried in a checked bag/suitcase due to the Li-polymer battery in the lid.

How do I clean my bottle?

Tip #1 Wiping the mouth area
From time to time, wash the bottle and cap with warm soapy water to get rid of any buildup around the mouth area (primarily lip balm or lipstick residue, oils, and food residue).

Tip #2 Honest rinsing
Yes, your LARQ PureVis™ bottle is self-cleaning so it doesn’t require the daily cleaning recommended for regular water bottles. As long as you use your LARQ PureVis™ bottle for water, the bottle and cap (don’t worry – it’s waterproof!) won’t need to be washed for at least 3-4 weeks. Simply hand wash it with warm, soapy water every now and then.

Tip #3 Cleaning after use with beverages other than water
We do not recommend using the LARQ PureVis™ bottle for coffee, tea, milk and sugary drinks, which are known to cause stains and can reduce the effectiveness of the PureVis™ UV-C LED technology by preventing light from reflecting off the electropolished bottle wall. If you choose to use coffee, tea or sugary drinks with the LARQ PureVis™ bottle, use warm water, soap and a bottle brush to remove stains after each use. This will ensure that your bottle is operating at optimal efficiency and keep your bottle and water fresh.

Note : Always refill your PureVis™ cap before washing or wait until it is completely dry before refilling to avoid damage or injury.

AIRFIT

Basic information about the products

What is Airofit and how does it work?

Airofit is a comprehensive breathing training system. While the device provides resistance to your respiratory muscles (diaphragm, intercostals and abdominal muscles), the mobile app gives you real-time feedback and guidance through the exercises, as well as the ability to track your progress.

How is Airofit different from other breathing training devices?

Airofit is the first and only truly smart breathing training device on the market. Because every person is different, Airofit does not offer one universal training program but adapts them to YOU – taking into account your age, height and weight, gender and preferences. Airofit also measures your vital lung capacity and respiratory muscle strength. All this data is taken as the basis for your training and allows you to start and progress through your training correctly.

Airofit is also the only breathing training device that goes beyond simple respiratory muscle training (RMT) to address other aspects of breathing, such as respiratory strength, vital capacity, anaerobic threshold and relaxation. It ensures you can train harder, recover faster and most importantly – perform better.

Does Airofit mimic altitude training?

Airofit does not work the same way as altitude training. Airofit is a respiratory training system. The breathing training device provides resistance to your breathing muscles, while the mobile app gives you real-time feedback and guidance through the exercises, as well as the ability to track your progress.

Just like any other muscle group, your respiratory muscles can become stronger, faster, and more efficient, which directly correlates to better oxygen intake, thus improving your overall physical performance.

What is the difference between Airofit and an elevation mask?

Elevation masks simply restrict the flow of air into your body while you exercise, which is not only ineffective, but also a bit dangerous. Exercising with an elevation mask lowers your oxygen levels and raises your CO2 levels in your blood. That's not the point of respiratory muscle training.

Respiratory muscle training (as with Airofit) should be done separately from exercise, in a relaxed state, as this will ensure that you are actually working on strengthening your muscles. Airofit will also allow you to use different levels of resistance during your training, so you can build strength just like you would by lifting weights, for example. In addition, the Airofit breathing device, along with its mobile app, offers you live guidance throughout each session, real-time feedback, and the ability to track your progress.

Can Airofit help me if I have asthma or COPD?

Originally developed by the Danish company AMBU (which manufactures life-support medical equipment), the Airofit was designed to help with asthma and COPD. Respiratory training is known to help with asthma symptoms. In asthmatics, a difference in inspiratory volumes is very common – their respiratory muscles are working far below optimal capacity. This makes them inactive and results in dyspnea/shortness of breath. This becomes most apparent during exercise as some of the energy expended is just going towards breathing.

We work with several asthmatics and COPD patients and their feedback has been great – from easier inhalation of asthma medication to complete absence of symptoms. However, there are many different types and degrees of asthma, so we strongly recommend that you consult your doctor about breathing training first.

Will my health insurance cover the purchase of the Airofit device?

Although Airofit meets EU medical standards, Airofit products are not officially medical devices and are not recognized as such. This means that most insurance companies will not recognize Airofit as a form of treatment or rehabilitation.

However, if the price of the device is too high for you, Nestiom also offers the option of renting it. For more information, please contact us at budizdrav@nestiom.eu .

Will Airofit help me if I am not an athlete?

The beauty of Airofit is that it can and should be used by anyone – from Olympic athletes to non-athletes who just want to become a better version of themselves.

Can multiple people use the same device?

Sharing a device is generally not recommended. First, because the product is designed to allow one user to reach their full potential, which requires daily training, 5-10 minutes twice a day. Sharing a single device can strain your schedule and complicate training.

Also, sharing the device is not recommended for sanitary reasons, as it is not possible to wash the entire device (the passive unit without the electronics and mouthpiece is washed), so we cannot 100% guarantee that all bacteria will disappear when you clean the device.

If you do decide to share a device, make sure you use different phones and different accounts so your results don't get mixed up 🙂

Is there an age limit for using Airofit?

No. However, the mobile app does not allow you to register if you are under 13 years old. This is because your results are measured against the average of individuals of the same age – there is simply no quantitative respiratory data for children under 13. You can still use Airofit and all its features if you are younger, but the data will be compared to a 13-year-old.

If you are under 15 years old, we strongly advise you to train under the supervision of an adult.

What is the difference between the Active and PRO models?

The Airofit PRO device offers Bluetooth connectivity that enables live program guidance, feedback and progress monitoring.

The Active model is exactly the same as the PRO in terms of design, look and feel. However, the Active doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity, so you won't be able to receive real-time performance feedback or track your progress.

What is the difference between the Essential and PRO 2.0 models?

The difference is in the program setting:

PRO 2.0 It offers a choice of focus areas, 17 different breathing exercises and a daily suggested program for you to meet all your physical needs. It provides 30 days of exercise data and has advanced improvement in monitoring your lung capacity and inspiratory and expiratory pressure.

Essential is the perfect starter for those just ready to begin their journey to better breathing. It includes 4 essential workouts designed to develop the core of your breathing foundation. It also provides 30 days of training data and lung measurement functionality; however, it excludes advanced statistics review and daily training program.

What is the difference between the Essential and Active models?

The Essential model offers the possibility of connecting with a Bluetooth connection that allows measuring lung capacity and designing programs in real time, which the Active model does not include. In addition, Essential adjusts breathing exercises to your physical condition and gives you access to 30 days of exercise data to track your progress.

Active is a simplified method of improving your breathing: it cannot be connected via Bluetooth, so it excludes live guidance and measurement of lung function. It provides prescribed breathing exercises and a simple overview of the time spent in training.

How do I do a lung test correctly?

You can perform the lung test using the Airofit Pro or Essential device, and it consists of 3 stages:

  • The expiratory force test measures your maximum expiratory force.
  • The inspiratory force test measures your maximum inspiratory force.
  • A lung capacity test measures your lung volume.

Try not to focus necessarily on force, but on control. Make sure you are using your diaphragm. This means making sure you are breathing from your belly and using these muscles as much as possible when inhaling and exhaling. Keep in mind that your test results may vary if you take it at different times or under different conditions. For example, your lung test results may be different if you have just eaten versus on an empty stomach.

How does Airofit training work?

Airofit is a respiratory muscle training device that works by providing resistance to your breathing. It trains both inspiratory and expiratory function, covering the entire respiratory muscle range. Airofit is small and hand-held, and is used by placing the silicone tip in your mouth and blowing. You adjust two different wheels on the device to increase or decrease resistance – one for inspiratory and one for expiratory breathing. The way your training works depends on whether you have Airofit Pro, Essential or Active.

Airofit Pro and Essential connect to your phone with live training, instructions and feedback, while Airofit Active is a standalone device with app-only instructions. Airofit Pro covers many different workouts and programs, while Airofit Essential covers 4 core workouts – but you can expand this by upgrading to our subscription. All training sessions are guided, you just have to follow the instructions on the screen.

From the workout overview, select the start of your daily workout session. Adjust the dials for the appropriate breathing resistance as instructed in the app: align the dials with the appropriate letter and number. Follow the on-screen instructions. You can pause the workout at any time, control the voice guidance, or exit the workout. Some workouts will ask you to align your breathing with the line on the app’s visual. Your progress is measured numerically, and you’ll also see the time remaining until the end of the workout. At the end of the workout, you’ll see an overview of your results and your overall score.

What parameters and metrics are monitored in the application?

The parameters measured and displayed in the app are your available lung capacity (ALC), maximum inspiratory pressure (MIP) and maximum expiratory pressure (MEP) at given resistances. Pressure is measured in cm H2O (centimeters of water pressure), and lung capacity is measured in liters. The Airofit system contains pressure sensors and translates pressure into vital capacity and peak pressure, which provides data on the strength of inspiration and expiration. In theory, it is generated by algorithms, relating pressure and flow to volume.

How do I track my activity?

Select the "Activity" icon in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Here you can find your training progress and statistics.

Will Airofit add more programs and sessions to the app in the future?

Yes! The application and its content will be constantly developed, and new workouts and programs will be added.

How often should I train?

We recommend practicing breathing every day. Remember that this is not a long-term workout. 10-15 minutes a day is more than enough, but consistency is key! If you train daily, we recommend dividing your program into two parts and training twice a day. The best results are achieved when you complete two workouts at different times of the day.

What is the correct position to hold the Airofit device?

You should be relaxed and standing or sitting upright. Hold the device with your hand on the E-unit (the front part of the main body with the logo). Make sure the openings near the dial are not blocked. Place the device in your mouth so that your lips cover the outer shield of the mouthpiece to create a seal. Look straight ahead, looking down can cause more saliva.

Should I use Airofit during exercise/training?

Airofit should be used outside of any physical activity. The best way to practice with Airofit is to sit down, relax, and focus only on practicing breathing.

How do I delete Airofit data and activities in the app?

Exercise and lung test data can be deleted when viewed on the "Activity" page.

How do I set reminders?

Open your app and select the “Settings” icon in the top right corner of the home screen. Scroll down to the “Schedule” section and turn on notifications. Then, select the daily reminder time and choose when you want to be reminded.

How many languages is the application available in?

The app is available in 14 languages: Arabic, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese.

If you want to change the language of the app, select the “Settings” icon in the upper right corner of the home screen. Scroll down to the “About” section and select “Language.”

How do I clean my Airofit breathing device?

Always remove the E-unit before cleaning with water or other liquids!

After each workout, we recommend that you wash the device in warm water, shake off excess water, and blow vigorously through the device to remove any water that may still be inside. Dry completely with a clean towel.

How do I properly care for the Airofit E-unit?

Allow the E-unit to fully charge (at least eight hours or overnight) at least once a month, even when not in use. Do not reassemble the device immediately after cleaning, but wait until it is dry. Make sure your E-unit remains as dry as possible. Do not leave the device uncharged for long periods of time.
